What’s in my Photography Bag

From my at-home setup to what I pack for my everyday bag and what I pack for my adventures

Camera + Lens

Camera: Fujifilm XS10
Lens(es): 35mm

For almost ten years, my Nikon D810 sat in a drawer. It’s a beautiful camera, but it’s heavy, and I stopped bringing it anywhere. So I sold it. I wanted something light enough to come with me everywhere: on hikes, on weekend trips, in my everyday bag.

I did my research and found a lightly used Fujifilm XS10, at a fair price. It’s known as a vlogging camera. I haven’t vlogged with it once, and I still love it.

What sold me is how flexible it is. I built multiple film looks by adjusting the brightness, saturation, on top fujifilms own filters, so my photos come out edited the moment I take them. No sitting at my laptop afterward.

Here’s what I believe: you don’t need the most expensive camera. You need the one that fits how you actually live. Maybe one day I’ll buy my dream camera and build out a full kit again. For now, the best camera is the one I actually bring.
