Hi, I’m Ria. I live in Toronto, I work a 9-to-5, and somehow I became the person in my family who plans every trip. I’ve taken my parents and their siblings through the Rockies, and done a week in Newfoundland with four adults who all wanted different things. I’ve also planned a Banff weekend and a Quebec weekend in between. I’m a slow hiker. I know not everyone can hike to the summit, or wants to. Luckily, I love a view from a lookout near the parking lot just as much as one from the top, and I’ve learned most families feel the same way.

This is where I share the plans that actually worked: the routes, the drive times, what it cost, and what I’d skip next time. Every trip here is planned around real people: parents who can’t do the 6-hour hike anymore, siblings with different budgets, and a planner who only has so many vacation days. If you’re the one in your group chat holding it all together, these notes are for you.
